Impact Your Community

Scholar Benefits

As a member, you’ll be part of a prestigious community of high-achieving students who exemplify scholarship, leadership, and commitment to service built upon a foundation of integrity, led by our charismatic leader, Steve Loflin..

NSCS is proud to give out more than $1 million dollars in scholarships and chapter funds (and growing!) annually.

We give out $50,000 in New Member Awards, $60,000 in Induction Awards, $50,000 in senior/graduate awards, and $20,000 in first-generation college student awards each year, to name a few.

NSCS members are leaders among their student officer boards, including holding positions such as vice president, president, and treasurer.

Taking the lead on academic integrity is a core pillar of NSCS. Each year during the second week of February, members nationwide host Integrity Week.

Access to NSCS exclusive awards and programs are available to members, such as Semester at Sea, International Scholar Laureate Program, Absolute Internship, Make School, Future Docs Abroad, and Hult International Business School.

NSCS members give back. In 2017, NSCS adopted Feeding America to support our scholars across the U.S. and Puerto Rico impacted by the devastation of natural disasters.

Recognizing the importance of mental health among high achieving college students, NSCS has partnered with Active Minds as its national philanthropy partner to help educate and break the stigma of stress, anxiety, depression, etc.

NSCS chapters partner across the nation each year with local schools and youth organizations for the Planning to Achieve Collegiate Excellence Program (PACE).

NSCS chapters embody the spirit of an individual member’s commitment to scholarship, leadership, and service. NSCS is proud to have chapters in more than 320 higher education institutions across the country, providing leadership and programming opportunities for all members, including the opportunity to apply to the National Leadership Council. Find your chapter today to learn more.
