The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS), announced they have been selected as the recipient of the 2022 Gallagher Affinity $10K Grant.
Announcing the NSCS First Generation College Scholarship sponsored by Gallagher Affinity
NSCS is committed to supporting First Generation college students on their journey to be the first in the family to complete a college degree. With Gallagher Affinity’s generous support, NSCS will award (4) $2,500 scholarships to First Gen student members who attend an Historically Black College or University (HBCU) or Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI). In addition to the financial support, NSCS will also provide guidance through our NSCS Peer Mentoring Program. We will pair the scholarship recipients with alumni members (former first-generation students who previously received a First Gen scholarship) to serve as a resource and offer support.
Qualifications for students to apply for the NSCS First Generation College Scholarship sponsored by Gallagher Affinity are:
- Must be an NSCS member
- Must be a First-Generation student
- Must attend an HBCU or HSI
- Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Must participate in the NSCS Peer Mentoring Program on Scholar Central
Applicants will be able to submit a scholarship application through the NSCS AwardSpring scholarship portal from October to early December. Applications will be reviewed in January and February and recipients will be notified in March, 2023.
