These days, before you join any group, it is a good idea to read some reviews and learn what real members have to say. At NSCS, we want to make that easy for you. We’re really proud of our students, and so many of them have given our organization glowing reviews. Below, you’ll find a few testimonials. Hopefully they help guide your decision as you consider joining the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
“Because of NSCS I have participated in multiple political campaign internships that would not have been available to me if I had not been a part of this organization.” – Rachel Laryisson, Florida State University.
Rachel hit the nail on the head with her mention of political campaign internships. Many of our members participate in these internships. They typically feel that the experience makes them better leaders and also helps them stand out when applying for their first post-college jobs.
Thousands of people nationwide are going to graduate with your exact same major and GPA and I honestly believe that being involved in NSCS is the best way to distinguish yourself. Unlike some other honor societies, NSCS is about creating leaders, not just inducting members.”– Jullien Gordon, University of California, Los Angeles
As Jullien mentioned, NSCS is a great way for students to set themselves apart. A good GPA and excellent academic performance are important, but these days, employers want to see more — and NSCS can be that “more.”
“Students get so overwhelmed so easily with the scholarship process. It’s a very daunting process. NSCS is different. They offer scholarships for members only, and they offer multiple winners for each scholarship.” – Lauren Tan, Loyola University Chicago
Scholarships can really make college more affordable, but as Lauren points out, applying for scholarships can be cumbersome. NSCS does aim to make the application process as simple as possible for our members.
“NSCS is the real deal. They’ve given me real opportunities connecting me to real people. And even as an alumni, I’ve gotten so many opportunities out of this.” – Daniela Espinosa, University of Tampa
Daniela makes an excellent point in this review. The connections you make through NSCS do not stop serving you once you graduate. Those people will continue to support you, encourage you, and mentor you as you continue in your career. College is just the beginning!
“It is these values of service and leadership, even more than the academics, that I admire in NSCS. The most important aspects of my life to date have been rooted in these two integral values, and I look forward to moving forward with NSCS.” – Terence Hughes, Dartmouth College
Like Terrance, so many students are looking for valuable ways to give back to the community. NSCS helps facilitate giving and service to make sure your efforts count.
As you can see from these reviews, NSCS members are continually impressed with the leadership, service, and scholarship opportunities available to them. These same opportunities can be yours if you choose to join NSCS. We are a proud group of supportive individuals working together for a better future.
