GEICO Achievement Award
In 2009, GEICO will present $1,000 to two NSCS members.
For over 20 years, GEICO has offered the Achievement Award program. It's just one of the ways that they support some of our country's most outstanding undergraduate students.
Eligibility
* Must be an undergraduate attending an accredited college or university
* Must currently possess sophomore or junior status
* Must be majoring in business, mathematics, computer science or related field
* Must have at least a 3.0 overall GPA
* Must have demonstrated leadership within their campus or community
* Must be an NSCS member in good standing
How to Apply
Step 1 – Read the program requirements above.
Step 2 – Download, fill out and sign the application. To download the application, go to: http://careers.geico.com/public/achievement_award_application_2008.pdf
Step 3 – Write, proofread and print your resume.
Step 4 – Print a copy of your unofficial transcript.
Step 5 – Ask a faculty or staff member to write you a letter of recommendation. The letter should be written on official school letterhead, signed and sealed in an envelope.
Step 6 – Write a 600 - 1,200 word essay that answers the question:
What have I accomplished academically and in my work or extracurricular activities to deserve a GEICO Achievement Award?
Step 7 – Now, you're ready to mail your application materials!

*All information must be sent in one envelope in order to be considered
*Deadline to submit your information is February 7, 2009
*Recipients of the 2009 GEICO Achievement Award program will be notified by May 31, 2009

*Choose a faculty recommender who knows you personally and can speak to your achievements
*Your essay should be double-spaced in an easy-to-read font
